§ 2-53. Duties of tax collector.

The city clerk and treasurer may be the tax collector. He shall diligently collect the taxes due the city as required by the charter, ordinances and laws of the state and make due report of same and perform such other duties as tax collector as required by the charter, ordinances or laws of the state and perform such other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the city council.
